Success Begins at Shady Lane
Shady Lane sees its children not just for the years they attend school here, but throughout a lifetime.
We celebrate the successes of former students at every step of their educational journey. We're always happy to hear from those students, and their parents, about what's been laid upon the foundation we helped to provide.
Shady Lane alumni have gone on to success in business, social services, and the arts. Just as important, they often continue their association with Shady Lane long after the move to elementary school.
It is routine to find former parents and, indeed, former students serving Shady Lane as members of the Board of Trustees; supporting its programs through ongoing donations of time, goods and funds; and continuing the tradition by sending new generations of children to the School.
In fact, a typical year finds several second-generation Shady Lane students, expanding the circle of relationships and strengthening the bond between the school, families and the community.
